HURTFUL PLEASURES Need some hurtful pleasures Let's dance until time's up You know, once I folded my skin To make origamis I can't see it right // I can't see and it's fine Well, I told you blurred is gold Whoever rather sharp Cannot get the point Just breathe until you die

MOUSE ON WHEELS One, two Frame your food Three, four You want more Five, six Show off bliss Seven, eight Keep template And when nine Walk the line Now it's ten March with them When eleven Parrot fashion Then twelve More is best Gear, mesh, march You know the price Fulfil their time Intangible is fine Army of nothing Spin that wheel Run, run, little mice Spin their wheel... now Trapped in a wheel Scroll down and down Never find a footer Like it, say something Post a selfie With your besties Just be like that All that matters

EVIDENCE I scream so loud to the stars They don't even react No one seems to hear my voice But I refuse to keep quiet My throat is almost raw Pins burst inside They love to call me stubborn Truth is I won't give up The void won't take my voice This galaxy won't know My steady profane song My damned secret timbre Sometimes it's lonely here But I guess I do like the weather Remember someday I'm gonna die And I swear, I will haunt you forever

about

Devilish Dear's second album took almost 5 years to be completed. Their debut "These Sunny Days" was self-released in 2015 and absolutely ignored.

Two years later, in 2017, the album was re-released and specialized blogs fell for it. After being highlighted by Bandcamp Editorial, a few specialized blogs and playlists decided it was one of the best shoegaze albums released that year.

Charged by the reviews, Braulio Almeida (guitars, drums, production), Shelly Modesto (vocals, lyrics) and Rômulo Collopy (bass) immediately started writing the follow-up.

"Army of Nothing" features 10 songs that were dilapidated from a vault of 15 or 16 works written since 2017. During these years, a lot happened: personal losses, professional and adult responsibilities and much-needed pauses to re-think.

They thought they had the album ready in 2019 when they released "Appalish". It wasn't. Then, in 2021, when the masters were ready. "Can we put it out in a vinyl?" was the question that paralyzed everyone.

It took them (and us, the label) another year to decide that we need your help to press it.

“Their music can hinge on the subgenre’s classic textures, (...) but it can also tear those ideas into shreds with aggressive vocals (...) and assertive synths.”

"After waves and waves of rather good but trite nu gaze bands, something this fresh is rather remarkable. Kudos Devilish Dear.”

"New & Notable: Brazilian shoegaze using traditional folk instruments to build its wave of sound"
Bandcamp Daily

"Shoegaze guitars, an assortment of post-production effects, and electronic components make up a sound reminiscent of bands like My Bloody Valentine, Curve, and the Cocteau Twins."
Darkenin Heart

"'Evidence' is Devilish Dear's first single and a prime example of their strong immersion in the world of shoegaze, as well as a piece that demonstrates their intense craftsmanship."
Destroy//Exist

“Devilish Dear drags the conventions of the genre straight off a cliff. It’s damn weird! But wow, don’t overlook it.”
